Design tender alerts · EU · UK · Switzerland

Public design briefs, found for you every week.

StudioTenders reads the official tender platforms of Europe, the UK and Switzerland every weekday. Every Friday it sends design studios the briefs that fit: brand, graphic, web and UX, signage, motion and competitions. Each one is summarised in plain English, with the deadline, the value and the official link. When a very good fit appears, Pro tells you the same day.

Mairie de Clichy-la-Garenne

Original title: REFONTE DU SITE INTERNET DE LA VILLE DE CLICHY

The City of Clichy-la-Garenne is putting the redesign (refonte) of its municipal website out to tender. The published notice repeats the title and adds no further scope, so the brief is only in the tender documents. One lot, open procedure, bids in French.

Multi-party framework for creative services, Regional Waste Management Planning Offices (MyWaste)

Dublin City Council

Original title: Establishment of a multi-party framework agreement for the provision of creative services for the Regional Waste Management Planning Offices

Dublin City Council is setting up a multi-party framework for design and creative services for the Regional Waste Management Planning Offices. Work should follow the MyWaste brand guidelines without being fully bound by them, and some assets are needed in Irish. Two mutually exclusive lots: Lot 1, assignments of €20,000 or less (est. €1M in total); Lot 2, larger strategic assignments above €20,000 (est. €2M). Competitive procedure with negotiation, starting with a pre-qualification questionnaire; the date below is the deadline for requests to participate. Rights to the creative assets pass to the contracting authority. The project is subject to funding.

Value
€3,000,000
Deadline
Thu 12 Nov 202624 days left on 18 Oct · request to participate
Procedure
Competitive with negotiation2 lots
Bid language
English

Uncertain. The notice still contains a placeholder ('Resource ID xxxxxxx'); look up the competition on etenders.gov.ie. The €3M is the framework ceiling (Lot 1 + Lot 2), not guaranteed spend. Data conflict: the notice text gives €1M (Lot 1) and €2M (Lot 2), but the structured lot values show €3M for each lot. We use the €3M procedure total.

How it works

Four quiet steps, every week.

  1. 01

    Read

Before breakfast we collect the new notices from TED, Find a Tender and simap.ch through their official APIs. No scraping.

  2. 02

    Filter

Design CPV codes and a keyword list in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and more keep the design work and drop the rest. Corrections update the original item instead of repeating it.

  3. 03

    Explain

Each notice gets a fit score from 0 to 10 and a short summary in plain English, written from the original language. Anything unclear is flagged, not guessed.

  4. 04

    Deliver

A weekly email every Friday, covering all regions. On Pro, an instant alert when a high-fit brief appears (never more than one a day) and reminders 7 and 2 days before the deadline of every listed tender.

Questions

Good to know.

What counts as a “design tender”?

Public contracts where the work is design: brand and graphic design, web and UX, signage, exhibition and wayfinding, motion and film, and design competitions. We match the official CPV codes (for example 79822500 graphic design, 72413000 website design, 79933000 design support, 92111000 film) and a multilingual keyword list, because a lot of design work is filed under other codes. Advertising, PR and event contracts are included when they carry real design work.

Where does the data come from?

Only from the official, free public APIs: TED (EU and EEA), Find a Tender (UK) and simap.ch (Switzerland). We do not scrape websites. Every item links to the official notice. Data sources and licences.

Is StudioTenders an official publication?

No. We republish the facts of each notice and add our own summary. The official notice is always authoritative, and you bid through the official platform. For Swiss items: Dies ist keine amtliche Veröffentlichung. Massgebend sind die auf der Plattform www.simap.ch veröffentlichten Daten.

How reliable are the summaries?

Values, deadlines and lots are taken from the notices’ structured fields, not from the summary. The plain-English summary is machine-generated from the original language and checked against those fields before sending. When something is unclear or the notice contradicts itself, we say so in an “Uncertain” line rather than guess.

When do emails arrive?

Everyone gets the weekly email on Friday morning: the top 3 on Free, the full list on Pro and Studio. Pro and Studio also get an instant alert when a high-fit brief (fit 7 or more) appears, at most one email a day and only on days when there is one, plus reminders 7 and 2 days before the deadline of every listed tender. Swiss items from simap.ch are never sent before 08:00 Zurich time on their publication day, as simap’s terms require.

Can I choose regions?

Not yet. For now every plan covers all regions: the EU and EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Region filters (DACH, France/Benelux, UK/IE, Nordics, South, CEE, Switzerland) are coming later.

How do Studio’s five recipients work?

After checkout, write to [email protected] with up to four more addresses in your organisation. We add them by hand, usually within one working day. Every recipient gets every Studio email and can unsubscribe on their own.

What does a fit score mean?

A 0–10 score for how likely a notice is a good design brief for a studio: how strongly it matches design codes and keywords, whether the value is studio-sized, how much time is left to bid, whether it is open and split into lots, and whether foreign bidders and English look possible. It is a sorting aid, not advice.

Who handles payment and VAT?

Paid plans are sold through Stripe Managed Payments: Stripe, through its Link service, acts as merchant of record (reseller). It takes the payment, issues the receipt and invoice and handles VAT or sales tax. Prices are shown excluding VAT; VAT may be added at checkout depending on your country. We never see your card details.

Can I cancel?

Any time: manage or cancel your subscription through Link (link.com), from the receipt Stripe emails you, or write to us. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.

Do you help write bids?

No. StudioTenders finds and explains briefs. Bidding, eligibility and contract questions are between you and the contracting authority.
